Alariwo was on his way to a friend’s birthday party at Candlewood Hotel in the city when he was attacked by suspected armed robbers.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers shot at him about four times, and at least one bullet penetrated his stomach. Nigerian musician Alariwo of Africa is recuperating in a hospital at Ibadan, Oyo State where he is being treated for wounds he had from gun shots in the city few days ago.
